THIS WEEK'S CONTEST

Someone calling her/himself 'beepmachine' took the time yesterday to score 28,496 points on this, a Flash-enabled version of the classic game Kaboom. My high score, after seven pathetic attempts, was a measly 259. Since no one won last Tuesday's Contest, the same offer applies... high score (among those who read this message and who post their scores via the comment button below -- between Sunday the 27th of April and 11:00 PM on Thursday May 1st) receives two T-shirts from my collection dating back to 1986. Multiple Entries Are Allowed and Encouraged. Click Here to play Kaboom.

I scored 327 on my first attempt and am quitting now before my boss discovers what I am doing. I'd hate for my career to go Kaboom!

I tried, but I'll never score that many - I don't have the time or the reflexes. If you liek that one, try this one: www.flingthecow.com.

Okay... so I tried playing Kaboom using a computer with an actual mouse (as opposed to the 'mouse pad' on my laptop). BIG DIFFERENCE... first time out of the gate I score 732. Like Beth, I stopped based on fear of getting caught.

Mikal,

I suspected that might have made a difference. And did you see that beppmachine has been bested? The new high score is 36,059. Do these people not have jobs? Or perhaps they're self-employed. Honestly, I get bored after the first few minutes.

Track balls make the game very difficult...I don't like bombers...I don't really like computer gaming (Freecell excepted)...I hated that game. Thanks for the link.

Does this mean I won? Or are you eligible to win your own contest and keep your t-shirts? (As if I don't have enough of my own...)
