FOUR FOR FRIDAY
Q: Aside from 'having your cake and eating it to', what's the best thing you can imagine?
MB's A: World PeaceÖ which I feel requires people and nations to drop their need to be right, along with their desire to make others wrong for who they are and what they believe in.
Q: Have you ever worked on Christmas Day? If so, how did it feel knowing ahead of time that you'd be working on that day, and then how did it feel actually working that day? If you've never worked on Christmas Day, would you?
MB's A: I have, and because I was covering for people who had more of a Christmas tradition than did I at the time, it felt pretty good.
Q: Do you think Usama Bin Laden will be captured alive, and... did you think Saddam Hussein would be caught alive?
MB's A: I do not think Bin Laden will be captured, dead or alive, but then again, I didnít think Hussein would either.
Q: If you knew ahead of time that you would not fail, what would you do?
MB's A: Everything I could to foster World Peace.
P.S. If this is your last visit to the Beli-Blog for the rest of this year -- because you check it daily or sporadically exclusively while at work (and you're off for the rest of the year starting next Monday) -- Happy Holidays. Thanks for being a part of my world these past 12 months. We truly are a part of all of those who have touched us! Be well over the break... both to others and yourself.

1. The answer to this changes on a minute by minute basis - like the billboard of last week. Right now it would be Peace in the Middle East, Iraq settled down and experiencing self rule in a peaceful way, and our soldiers home with their families.
2. My mom used to work the Emergency Room every year on Christmas Day. We would do our Christmas on Christmas Eve and then go down and have lunch with her at the hospital. Last year is the nearest I have come to working, providing dinner for the local BP and police officers and such that had to work - doing it again this year. Then we went around and shoveled all the driveways and sidewalks of the "old folks" that live behind us. Yes, I would work then especially if it meant someone could spend that day with loved ones.
3. I don't think Bin Laden will be captured alive, but then I didn't think Saddam would be such a weanie either.
4. Ah! The Matthew Kelly question in The Rhythm of Life. I would start a day care center for children of young mothers where the mothers would work and go to school. They would learn how to be good moms, get a good education, learn skills and given support through the early years of the child. The children would be given love, hugs, taught games, learn social skills and given a feeling of being loved. So many children spend their formative years in a playpen or propped in front of a TV and when they start school - have no social skills or sense of self worth. If you get the children early you can make a difference.
Have a wonderful Holiday, Mikal!
1. Selfishly: I could imagine myself being a billionaire. Cash IS king, after all. That way, I could do a lot of the things I want, altruistically and self-indulgently. Otherwise, I'd wish that poverty and illiteracy be eliminated.
2. Never worked on Christmas Day. Traveling is bad enough!
3. Probably won't catch him alive - or at all.
4. Run for President, of course.
1.Hummm!!!!...allow my children every comfort that they could think of, with me along side for fun(travel with no constraints, every effort in their thought realized, a place for them to play and be, without fingers and minds pointing look there at that, every possible avenue opened for their education and development, every dream given) those with understanding that there is another guy with less.
2.Yes, I have worked on Christmas and would do it again in a heartbeat. Being a Medical Professional people in need are always around, Christmas is just another day. If one smiles and thinks of the other guy as often is the case when you confront illness... Christmas is an opportunity to give a BIG listening ear and an extra BIG H*U*G! I wanted to be home, but "i" made a difference just being there with a Santa Hat and a smile.
3.I had no idea one way or the other and have no idea today who will be snagged. "What goes around comes around" ... our military is doing the best job they can given what they have. If
YOU are in a corner you have the option of cutting your own throat.
4.Do my life over again, knowing what "i" know now.
GOOD QUESTIONS!
If Mikal(owner of this site(?)and poster of ???s does not answer these(and future posts), I will NOT post me-wee-replies. It is only fair: Mr. Nosy and Mr. let me see-but-no-respondeeee!!! Happy Friday and Smiley Christmas Season to YOU all! :-)
1. To be myself without any conditions.
2. I have never worked on Christmas Day. I probably wouldn't work on Christmas Day--as someone cited above--travel during the holidays is extremely bad.
3. I don't know. I try not to speculate about such things.
4. I would take all risks.
