FOUR FOR FRIDAY

Q: Are there any conspiracy theories that you totally buy into?

Q: Earlier this week, Champ Bailey agreed to a seven-year, $63 million contract with the Denver Broncos, making him the National Football League's highest-paid cornerback (in case you don't know what a 'cornerback' is... it's a defensive player who generally lines up on the outside of the offense's formation, and is almost always assigned to guard a wide receiver or that area of the field where a wide receiver is expected to run to to catch a pass). Considering how much Bailey is being paid to guard wide receivers (which by my count is approximately $562,500.00 per game before taxes), is it fair to expect that a touchdown should never be scored against him?

Q: What's one image, scene, or event that you wish you had a camera handy for but didn't?

Q: What time do you wake up on the average weekday verses either Saturday or Sunday?

1) I'll usually buy into a conspiracy theory if the investigative science behind it proves beyond a reasonable doubt that the conspiracy could be true. Take for instance the Kennedy assassination. Given the amount of mis-information (or lack thereof) and lack of real investigative science, I find the conspiracy theory to be quite powerful. I must admit, I do draw the line at conspiracy theories surround extra-terrestials.

2) Football, like any other sport, is a game of skill and strategy. Their is no way to assign a single $ value to someone's skill when the strategy involved is to defeat the other teams strategy to score. No matter how much someone is paid to prevent a touchdown, there's going to be others of equal or better skill to prevent just the same. Besides, the expectation is not that he will prevent a score, but will he prove his worth by contributing to the team through interceptions, forcing incompletes, and being a general nucance to the wide receiver of said appossing team. Of course the other teams will score against him, or the other team would need to find another wide receiver, coach, manager, quarterback, etc....//

3) There are too many to name!

4) weekday: 6:00AM, weekend: 7AM (or earlier, depending on what I'm doing)

1. Yes there are several conspiracy theories that I buy into...the main one is Area 51. I believe the government lies to us that there is intelligent life outside of Earth. I believe the Kennedy assisination was a government conspiracy...infact I think Government in general is one huge conspiracy!

2. I really am not interested in sports, but I am sickened to death of how much players are payed.

3. The mind is a beautiful device...a portable camera that will always be with you. I had millions of pictures within it.

4. Weekdays - 6am (6:15am by the time I finish pressing the snooze button to death!) Weekends are pretty pathetic....anywhere between 9am-11:30am...I consider myself a professional sleeper.

1. Guess I'm not a big conspiracy theory believer.. but I do enjoy hearing them from friends and co-workers. Most usually don't seem interesting enough to heavily research, and in order for me to believe it, I'd need all the details.

2. Ugh.. football salaries. I enjoy the sport, but hate thinking about how much these guys make.

3. My nephews (4 years old and 1) are hilarious. They are a great source for humor and would love to get more pics of them. However,I stopped trying to capture EVERYTHING on video a years ago. I found that I spent so much time behind the camera trying to capture every moment, that I couldn't actually enjoy the moment.

4. During the week, it's up around 6:30 ish. I've often wanted to wake up and exercise in the morning (instead of after work), but it just isn't feasible! :-)

Saturday morning, I'm up around 6:30 for Spin Class.. and Sunday, I usually sleep in til around 9 or 10.

1) I don't really believe in any specific conspiracy theories, but they're fun to discuss when someone brings one up. I'm sure there's a lot out there the government keeps quiet about while the rest of us debate it.

2) Ugh, I don't follow football. But athletes make way too much money. I don't see any teachers making $63 million.

3) I usually have a camera or video camera for big things like birthdays, weddings, etc. But I wish I had one last year to record the little red fox that ran yapping through my backyard. It's not everyday you see a fox. :o)

4) 7:00 am weekdays. 8-8:30 am weekends (or later depending on the previous night. But I do love to sleep in).

1. I don't believe in conspiracy theories. I like reading about them, though, because it's amusing.

2. Er, I don't know. I'm one of those people who don't believe football players should be getting that much money in the first place.

3. I always wish I had my camera with me. But it's more of a self-control thing. I'd be taking photos all the time and that's not good, because I don't have a digital camera and developing photos up in the boondocks is an expensive business.

4. On weekdays, around 7. Weekends, anywhere between 8 and 10 depending on how late I stayed up the night before.

1. I usually don't buy in to such theories, but believe some have merit - the Kennedy assassination and certainly the "vast right-wing conspiracy" against the Clintons.
2. I say let the free market reign. However, no one should ever expect perfect execution in a position - athletic or otherwise.
3. I had a camera, but lost the picture in a move right after college: when ArchBishop Desmond Tutu and I enjoyed a small group luncheon and then he and I shared a moment of introspection and then laughter.
4. Maybe I should take the 5th on this one. On Wednesdays, I wake at 6am. All bets are off on the other days. I usually get up anywhere from 7:30 to 9:30 am. In fact, I usually get up earlier on the weekends.

1. Yes, I believe firmly that King George II is covering up for the Saudi's and their attack on New York and Washington DC on Sept 11. We should be at war w/ the Saudis, not Iraq. We should be moving away from our dependence on them, but we don't. Why? B/c King George I & II are the bed buddies of those oil barrons. C'est la vie.

2. I think most professional atheletes get payed FSR too much. They are doing what millions of people would LOVE to do. Granted, they have the opportunity for horrible, career threatening injuries and they have to deal w/ unbelievable pressure from fans and media. That said, they make too damn much money and the seats for games cost too much for the average Joe. Those problems are one and the same.

3. Um...I don't know. I'm sure that there are plenty.

4. Anywhere between 8 and 10 AM, depending on what I need to get done that day. The day of the week really means nothing to me. I work late, and my sleep reflects that.
