FOUR FOR FRIDAY

Q1: Breakfast: Do you eat breakfast every morning? If so, do you generally tend to eat the same thing each morning, or do you try to mix it up on a daily basis?

Q2: Lunch: If you could have lunch today with any two or three people you wanted (dead or alive), who would you have lunch with? Also, if you were able to eat that lunch at any location on the face of the planet, where would that be? And finally, if you could choose to eat anything you wanted, what would you have?

Q3: Dinner: On average, how many nights per week can you be found cooking dinner for yourself or for yourself and others at home in your own kitchen?

Q4: Generally speaking, which do you feel you have more of in your life... control or influence?

A1: Yes...every morning! Best meal of the day for me. My typical morning breakfast consists of some whole-grain cereal, two pieces of fruit, and some vanilla yogurt in the cereal. If I'm not pressed for time, I'll make an good ole' mexican omlette (egg substitute). If I'm on an expedition or in the backcountry...well, then anything goes...but usually a combination of good stuff.

A2: St. Francis of Assissi, the sage Padmasambhava, and John Denver. We'd eat at the most beautiful alpine meadow in the French Alps, consuming copious amounts of the finest Bordeaux, rustic breads, fine cheeses, and greens.

A3: Generally, five or six nights a week I cook dinner. However, I don't usually have a typical dinner, but instead tend to graze from the late afternoon into the early evening to balance out energy and exercise requirements.

A4: Neither...the media influences too much, and the government gets more and more control. From the practical perspective...I'd say I have more influence over my life than control, because I can't always control the choices others make that affect me, but can exert influence.

Q1: Oatmeal...every morning.

Q2: I would be dining with my nieces and nephews at their school in KY having lunch with them on their little tiny cafeteria tables, and hopefully it would be pizza day!

Q3: 6 nights a week. Dinner usually consists of chicken and a rice or steamed vegetable dish.

Q4: Neither :) what about Confusion, can that be my answer please?

Mine's up here

#1- I have cereal and some sort of something with coffee. I'll have fruit if there's anything good.

#2- I'd have lunch with John Kerry and John Edwards and I'd probably throw Bill Clinton in there too. I'd want Clinton to "coach" these guys to beat Bush. I'd even treat! Due to the current economy, it would have to be somewhere cheap but healthy. ( given Mr. Clinton's heart condition) Salad Works?

#3- Hard to say... I am playing with the kids, helping with homework, picking kids up and dropping them off. I usually forget about dinner until it is too late for anything good! I make a mean bowl of cereal. ;)

#4- I would hope that I have a good combination of both. Sometimes, it's just mass confusion and craziness!

Hi! I'm new. I entered my url in the box, for when I hit post, it kept giving me an error message, so here are mine:

Q1: Breakfast: Just about anything. Usually yogurt and a Clif bar, sugar-free Red Bull or coffee.

Q2: Lunch: Studs Terkel at Finkl's Deli in Chicago. I'd have corned beef on rye.

Q3: Dinner: I don't cook; my husband does. :-)

Q4: Influence.

1. Yes, I eat breakfast every morning, but it varies. I do not mix things up intentionally.

2. I'd have lunch with my family at a really good dim sum place in Hong Kong.

3. I cook for myself most of the time since there isn't anyone else around to do it.

4. Neither.

1. My breakfast, and I have never tried to go without one, if I could help it is: usually, oj or a frozen fruit smoothie. I make it with frozen mangos, mixed fruit or strawberries, toast usually with butter and strawberrry jelly jam or whatever its called, sometimes I make turkey bacon and an egg or two and create a sandwich from that. Occasionally I do the cold cereal thing and also occasionally I toast frozen waffels with smart butter and syrup. The bare minimum is the smoothie (oh and it has a protein powder/vitamin powder in it.

2. Lunch with Mikal Belicove today, since it is his birthday and where ever he wants to go, since he always knows a good place with good service that treats him like royalty.

3. I cook about 5 nights a week for myself. (I used to order in more and eat more but not since returning to school). I usually cook pasta and make a salad with lots of yummy ingrediants.

4. Influence; I want more control though and have had it in the past.
