FOUR FOR FRIDAY - THE MORE OR LESS EDITION

Q1 - Time: Comparing the last 365 days to the previous 365, do you have more, less, or about same amount of free time on your hands? If more or less, what changed over the last year?

Q2 - Money: Do you think having more money would buy you more, less, or the same amount of happiness as you have in your life today? If more or less money, how much more or less would it take?

Q3 - Dating & Kissing: Thinking back to when you were in junior and senior high school, do you ever wish you would have kissed/dated more, less, or about the same number of people that you did back in the day?

Q4 - Exercise: Do you plan to exercise more, less, or about the same amount in 2006 as you did in 2005?

Comments:

(1) Slightly less time. As the kids grow older, and are involved in more activities, there's more shuttling around. I'm also discovering that there's no such thing as free time, only time spent doing nothing that you borrow from some other activity.

(2) More is almost always better, but let's just say double my present salary. Maybe not more happiness, but certainly less worry.

(3) More, more, more!

(4) My plan is in place starting Janury 3. Basically the same plan as last year, when I lost 15 lbs., but I stopped about 2/3 of the way in. I'm planning to fishing things up this year.

Thank you, Mikal, for doing these things every Friday. I may not respond, but I always think about them.

1. More. I'm not constantly on the phone or driving to Columbus on my days off as I was during my Pop's illness the last half of last year.

2. I don't think more money would make me any more or less happy. More comfortable and more secure, yes, but money itself hasn't made me happier for the lack or abundance of it.

3. More of course. Pity there weren't more gay boys in my school.

4. More (see #1 above).

Q1 ñ Time: Less. My father passed away and I had to get his estate in order and help my brother get his house cleaned out in order to be sold. Also late last year we started construction on our family cottage in New Hampshire and that is still on going. In addition I am getting involved in lobbing for civil rights here in Connecticut.
Q2 - Money: The same, I would like an income around $100,000 a year. With that I wouldnít have to worry about my retirement in three years.
Q3 - Dating & Kissing: More, oh definitely more. I was the quiet shy kid who always sat in the corner at dances. I was very introverted at that time while I was dealing with my inner problems.
Q4 - Exercise: It wouldnít take much to do more exercise since I do very little now. I try to walk every day at lunch during work, weather permitting and thatís about it.

1. I think I had about the same amount of time in 2005 as in 2004.

2. More money would allow me to travel more but I am sure it would not but happiness. Happiness is something you must find within yourself and can not be bought.

3. MORE. I was shy and and quite introverted back then. Another posted said they sat in the corner at dances, I sat at home.

4. I plan to excercise more in 2006, but I always say that. Hopefully I will find the motoviation to do so this year.
