FOUR FOR FRIDAY - THE 'YOU'/'YOUR' EDITION

Q1 - You: What one person, out of all the people you know, knows you the best and knows the most about you?

Q2 - Alongside You: If you were recovering from major surgery in a hospital and could have any person, from any era, recovering in the bed next to you, who would it be?

Q3 - Your Computer: Is your computer's home page set to an Internet Service Provider, news/newspaper site, blog, search engine or portal such as Google or Yahoo, or something else? ow often do you change your hompage setting?

Q4 - Your Work: Would you be willing to take a fifty percent (50%) cut in pay to pursue a career or job you were one hundred percent (100%) more passionate about than your current one? If not, what percent cut in pay would you be willing to take?

Comments:

Participating in my very first "Four For Friday." Yeah!

1. This one's easy. My wife.

2. Going to sound sappy, but it would have to be my wife. If not her, then Joey Ramone, Iggy Pop, Joe Strummer, or Johnny Cash.

3. Set to my blog for almost a year now. Before that, it was set to my ISP from the time that I purchased my iBook a year and a half ago (which I'm using to type this).

4. Yes. It would make the bills a bit difficult to pay, but I think we could manage. My current gig is pretty good, but it isn't my passion.

This is the first time I'm doing this, so be gentle with me (smile)!

FOUR FOR FRIDAY - THE 'YOU'/'YOUR' EDITION

Q1 - You: What one person, out of all the people you know, knows you the best and knows the most about you?

A- This one is easy! Not everyone considers pets as "people" but those of us who do know that our cats know us better than any human because they are intuitive.

Q2 - Alongside You: If you were recovering from major surgery in a hospital and could have any person, from any era, recovering in the bed next to you, who would it be?

A- With all due respect to my wonderful husband, again, I'd rather have my cat in the bed next to me. She wouldn't stay there however. Sensing a warm (and probably somewhat smelly) body, she'd jump over and settle close to my side (to keep warm and enjoy the smell, but I'm not complaining). I'd relax, listening to her soft purr.

Q3 - Your Computer: Is your computer's home page set to an Internet Service Provider, news/newspaper site, blog, search engine or portal such as Google or Yahoo, or something else? ow often do you change your hompage setting?

A- I am a creature of habit so I almost never change my home page, but I change little things on the Advice Sisters Web Site http://www.advicesisters.net nearly every day!

Q4 - Your Work: Would you be willing to take a fifty percent (50%) cut in pay to pursue a career or job you were one hundred percent (100%) more passionate about than your current one? If not, what percent cut in pay would you be willing to take?

A- I did, I'm a freelance writer and a life & career expert, online.

Q1 - You: My brother.

Q2 - Alongside You: I donít know, maybe just to be flippant I would say Dr. Alan Hart.

Q3 - Your Computer: I wrote my own homepage and it on my web-site. It has all my favorite blogs, newspapers, forums, search engines ( like Google & Yahoo ) and other sites that I visit on a regular bases. That way I donít have to put up with all that ad clutter.

Q4 - Your Work: No, a fifty percent cut in pay would put me down around the poverty level. I would take maybe a ten or fifteen percent cut in pay. But that would still be tight.

1. Probably my best friend Jenny.
2. Jesus. Either that or John Mellencamp, assuming he had his guitar with him.
3. Firefox at home, the portal at work. I never change them.
4. I did take a major (but not quite 50%) cut in pay to go part time to spend more time with my young family -- something I'm passionate about.

Q1 My friend, Lewis. We've lead parallel lives, and he seems to know what's going on with me even when we don't talk for six months.

Q2 - Lewis Black. He could keep me in stitches.

Q3 - Google. I always start Internet Explorer when I have a question and don't know where to start looking.

Q4 - Never. Why should you have to take a pay cut to do something you're passionate about? Not that I have all that much pay to cut....
