FOUR FOR FRIDAY
Q1 - Sleep: When was the last time you pulled an all-nighter, and why? If you can't recall, then where's the most embarrassing place you've ever fallen asleep?
Q2 - Trust: Who do trust the most, or in what order would you rank your level of trust for each of the following: Clergy, Teachers, Police, Doctors, Print Journalists, Bankers, TV Newscasters, Scientists, Lawyers, Members of Congress, and Stockbrokers?
Q3 - Sick: When youíre sick, do you prefer to be left alone or do you like to have someone attending to your every whim and desire?
Q4 - Sidekick: If you could pick any cartoon character to be your very own personal assistant, who would you pick and why?

My answers are posted (or will be if Blogger gets around to it today...).
1) Last time I pulled an all nighter was probably a couple years ago for an exam. I don't do that anymore--studying days or even weeks before the exam is better. I've fallen asleep during a lab meeting (also about the same time I last pulled an all nighter for an exam). Fortunately the PI didn't notice me in the back of the room.
2) I trust my family the most. Next to them, my friends. And after them, Scientists, Teachers and Doctors. Other people, not so much.
3) I'd rather be asleep. So I guess it doesn't matter if I'm alone or not if I'm unconscious.
4) Maybe one of those Transformer dudes. Not only can I get him to do my dirty work, but he can also beat the crap out of anyone who wants to mess with me. :)
1) I usually pull a few all-nighters in the Fall and Holiday seasons to watch old movies or finish projects and gifts for people. I can feel an all-nighter coming soon.
2) Teachers the most. Doctors second. Members of Congress the least.
3) It depends. If it's strep, I want to be alone. If it's flu, I want to be babied.
4) Speed Racer. He may say he's straight, but that scarf is a cry for help. Plus, I need to be seen in the Mach 5.

A1) All to frequent all-nighters! Busy with creative thoughts that keep me from sleep. Fallen asleep in all sorts of strange places...let's not go there!
A2) The only "profession" I'd trust on this list is "Teacher". However, it's not necessarily about profession is it? It's about the individual.
A3) Leave me alone!!!
A4) Batman - he's got the best gadgets!
A1) The Hairy Beast does not sleep - that's when they sneak into his home.
A2) None of the above - they're ALL in on it!
A3) When ill, The Beast prefers to slather himself with bacon fat and curl up in a 9 mil sheet of black poly-plastic sheeting he keeps in back of the false wall in his closet.
A4)The Beast would choose the Drummer from "Josie and The P*ssycats" - he thinks she's got a crush on him.

I pull a lot of all nighters, but normally they are due to insomnia. I was up until 6 last night. "grin" But that was not due to insomnia. Hubby has this big grin on his face too.

I trust my husband the most.

When I'm sick I prefer to have my husband wait on me hand and foot.

Mickey of course, because he he rules Disneyland and he is every child's hero.

Back in my college days some 32 years ago. However, I have worked occasionally third shift when we were running a test, but I did sleep before and after work.

Members of Congress ñ even though I am helping out on a campaign for the US Senate race, I believe he is the lesser if the two eveils

Sick, like I am now? I would rather be left along to suffer in peace so I can just curl up in bed and sleep.
Q4 - Sidekick: If you could pick any cartoon character to be your very own personal assistant, who would you pick and why?
No cartoon character stands out to me since I donít follow the comics, but if I had to pick it would be the mother in ìFor Better or Worstî
A1 - About 6 months ago because she was absolutely worth it. I feel asleep on the BART (Bay Area Subway) once and ended up in East Oakland.
A2 - Scientists & Teachers are the only ones I'd consider trusting on this list. The remaining professions are driven by money and/or power.
A3 - Just let me be so I can recover!
A4 - Eric Cartman...who else could drive results by spewing constant obsenities!
I have an interesting post motivated by one of your questions.
1. The last all-nighter I pulled was in Feb 2004, my last drug binge. It lasted 3 or 4 days, I think. I once fell asleep/came to on a pier in Pensacola, FL during my 90's partying days.
2. I trust my (now retired) pastor, the Rev. Jim Miller, 35th Minister, The First Baptist Church in America, Providence, RI.
3. I prefer to be left alone (usually to sleep and listen to NPR) when I am sick.
4. I'd like to have Queer Duck as a personal assistant. He's repsonsible and has crazy cool friends, such as Oscar Wildecat and Bipolar Bear. Check them out at www.sho.com/site/queerduck/home.do
All-nighter: I have horrible insomnia a lot of the time so I sometimes pull them against my will.
Trustworthiness: I only trust journalists and scientists from that list.
Sick: I like to be babied when I'm sick.
Sidekick: I would probably pick The Tick or Ben Katz or maybe Peggy Hill because they all make me laugh and I'm at my sharpest when I'm amused.
