FOUR FOR FRIDAY

Q1 - Grocery Shopping: When you go to the grocery store, do you create a shopping list beforehand or do you buy according to a routine or whatever suits your tastes?

Q2 - Awards: If you did the work, which award would you like to receive: The Noble Prize in Physiology or Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Literature, or Peace?

Q3 - Politics: Do you plan on voting in this November's elections? If so, and if a congressional seat is up for grabs in your area, do you view your ballot as a vote "against" the President, rather than a vote "for" him, or will your vote not take into account the President's performance?

Q4 - Royalty: If you could be King or Queen of any country, which country would you choose and why? (Sorry but Disneyland is not a country.)

1. No list, I usually buy the same stuff when I go grocery shopping.

2. Nobel Peace Prize.

3. I probably won't be voting because I don't follow politics much. But now that I think of it...maybe I will vote this year.

4. I'd buy an island somewhere and be queen of my own country. Start fresh.

Q1 - Grocery Shopping: When you go to the grocery store, do you create a shopping list beforehand or do you buy according to a routine or whatever suits your tastes?

I usually have a shopping list, but I also do buy on impulse or if it is on sale.

Q2 - Awards: If you did the work, which award would you like to receive: The Noble Prize in Physiology or Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Literature, or Peace?

I would like to get the Noble Prize in Peace. A close second is in Physics.

Q3 - Politics: Do you plan on voting in this November's elections? If so, and if a congressional seat is up for grabs in your area, do you view your ballot as a vote "against" the President, rather than a vote "for" him, or will your vote not take into account the President's performance?

Yes, I will be voting in the November elections and I will not be voting for or against the President. I will be voting on issues that I feel are important to me; the war in Iraq, energy, health insurance and the economy.
I am working as a volunteer for the Lamont senatorial campaign because I feel the Senator Lieberman does not represent my views in the issues that I feel important to me.

Q4 - Royalty: If you could be King or Queen of any country, which country would you choose and why? (Sorry but Disneyland is not a country.)

I would like to be Queen of some Micronesia Island. Isnít it obvious, to lay out on some South Pacific island and be waited on hand and foot.

Q1 - Grocery Shopping: I usually start with a grocery list, but then I go through every aisle to see if I omitted something from the list. This usually results in buying something we don't really need, but I eat or drink everything I buy... except for the lightbulbs, cleaning supplies, and paper goods.

Q2 - Awards: Peace, but I would only accept the award if I could get the leader of every country and every splinter group to agree to collaborate on peace and the award would be presented for our collective accomplishments. No single individual is ever responsible for peace, able to achieve it on her own, or to be blamed for when it fails.

Q3 - Politics: I plan on voting and will vote against anyone currently holding office. I wish it were not so. I think we need a third party to keep the other two parties honest. I also think we are in dire need of campaign finance reform, and we need to kick every lobbyist out of federal, state, and local governments. Politicians should be doing what they think is right, instead of serving special interests.

Q4 - Royalty: As a freelance writer, I am no stranger to royalty. I wouldn't want to be royalty, but I receive royalties regularly, and as the value of the dollar declines, I would be willing to accept royalties from other countries, particularly Euros.

First-timer here! It's up on my blog.

1 - Completely depends on my mood. If I'm going for a specific meal or gathering, or if there is something I absolutely need, I use a list. If not, I go by routine/whim.

2 - Literature, hands down. As soon as I have a room of my own...

3 - I do plan on voting, but do not view my votes on Congressional candidates as for or against the president. Rather, I vote by record and position of the actual candidate.

4 - This is a hard one. I don't know that I would want to be royalty. Well, maybe. LOL I'd have to say in some tropical paradise. I mean, if we're talking fantasy, might as well have the locale you want. I don't think Aruba has royalty, but somewhere like that would do.

1. I use a grocery list, but also buy according to a routine of what I like to eat & cook. I do, though, buy whatever suits my taste if I'm so inclined.
2. I'd do the work to win the Nobel prize for peace. The rest can fall in to place once there is peace.
3. I want to vote next month, but, alas, I cannot until I am off parole, next year. If I could, I'd vote FOR the Democrats (life-long!) AND AGAINST Bush. I think a lot of folks will vote against Bush, Congress, the Republicans, & politicians in general.
4. I'd rather be King of England because that monarchy has the most money, power, & prestige. I imagine the royals of Monaco have a lot more fun, though, so, maybe Monaco. Is it possible for me to be Queen rather than King? Some of my friends think I'm a queen already!

1. I use a list that is according to the aisles. I also have a routine based on what I know I will eat and fix.
2. I'd do the work for the Nobel in Medicine.
3. I plan to vote. I do not vote based on party nor do I vote for one office holder based on another office holders deeds, good or bad.
4. I'd want to be Queen of Bermuda. Nice weather, nice houses, no big problems.

PS: Just bought your book.
