What I Really Think About Twitter

Josh Faure-Brac crawled inside my head, read my mind, and created this cartoonic salvo:

Granted, Twitter does have business-related applications (I've used it myself over the last 18 months or so with moderate success for clients in a variety of verticals), but by and large my personal twitter feed is slam-packed with useless info from mostly good people who really should have better things to do, myself included!

I love that video! A lot of people use Twitter to talk to each other (much like any other social sites). Some people just like to talk, and others like to hear -- I like to do a little of both.

Be an interesting study for a sociology grad student.

Strongly agree... I think they call it Twitter, because it's a gathering place for twits.

That's funny stuff, and very true. Lots of people wasting a lot of time (theirs and others) about nothing.

My favorites are all the people who try to show how cool they are by talking about how cool Twitter is and how cool they are for using it.

Used to be if you lived in your mom's basement and went to comic book conventions you were a dweeb. Now that's become acceptable. Sitting on Twitter and tweeting constantly seems to be the new dork haven.

Now that's funny. Tweet on twits!

Very funny! I must pass that along.

I'm not giving up twitter, but I don't think I'm using it the way it was intended. I don't understand the attraction of reading what complete strangers are ingesting/digesting. yukk. There's so much other good stuff out there to be reading.

I don't like Twitter at all. There's nothing value-added.

That was great!
