Texting on a keyboard phone

Image via Wikipedia

Q1 - Texting: Do you think it's presumptuous for people to send you a text message without knowing if you like or use the texting feature on your cell phone, or do you feel texting has become so mainstream that everyone should be used to it by now?

Q2 - 3-D: Three-dimensional images are expected jump out of movie theaters and into living rooms by next year. Sony and Panasonic say they will release home 3-D television systems in 2010; Mitsubishi and JVC are reported to be working on similar products. Do you want your television to be capable of handling 3-D images, or do you feel 3-D is best suited for the big screen (i.e., movie theaters)?

Q3 - Fall Movies: Whiteout; Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs; The Informant; Jennifer's Body; Love Happens; Fame; Surrogates; The Invention of Lying; A Serious Man; Zombieland; Couples Retreat; Where the Wild Things Are; Amelia; Disney's A Christmas Carol; The Box; The Fourth Kind; The Men Who Stare at Goats; 2012; New Moon; The Blind Side; Planet 51; Nine; Ninja Assassin; The Road... which Fall 2009 movies are you most looking forward to seeing?

1. To be honest I am more bothered when people call me. I listen to the VM or finish the call and usually think 'you called me for THAT?'. I prefer to be texted.

2. I don't care for 3D. It gives me headaches.

3. I haven't seen previews for over half of those movies, sadly so I guess none of them.

4. Mega En and Mag Nee

1- I dont get bothered about the form of communication itself - but more so the level of "expectation" that seems to sometimes come along with it. With both email and texting, it seems the mainstream norm is people are looking for a response - NOW!!! maybe you're busy? maybe you're away from your phone? maybe it's OFF... and when you dont respond in kind, suddenly you're the "bad guy", LOL...
2 - so far, no level of 3D or "real 3D" has impressed me or lived up to expectations.... I'm sure the "home version" will do so on an even smaller scale...
3- honestly, I've become such a "wait for video" kind of person and filling existing time with so much else, Im not really hyped for any particular movie coming up...
4 - Congrats Tort, Tractor Tongs, Arc strong tot

1. It drives me crazy when people whom I don't know text me or people that I do text me a lot. I don't pay for a text package and hate paying extra. When it is part of your phone package then it will be mainstream.
2. I have no idea, it seems to be a bit much but then again I am not sure I've really seen or gotten the whole 3D thing.
3. I don't go to the movies much and I have no idea what these movies are, except Where the Wild Things Are..maybe we'd take our son
4.Insanely Rich, Rainy Lichens, Sea Richly Inn,

1) Texting - I resisted texting for a long time. Like it or not, it's here, texting is mainstream.

Requiring others to ask before texting is like requiring people to ask "Do you have a telephone?" before they ask for your phone number.

Being offended because someone sent a text without permission is like being offended that someone sent you an email without written permission.

2) 3D - Not worth it. It gives me a headache.

3) Movies - 2012, Meatballs, and lots of the other ones too. Looks like a promising season.

4) Anagrams - Inverted Sloths, Trident Shovels, Loves This Trend

Q1 - I have 1 granddaughter who uses texting about exclusively. I love her greatly, so I text with her. It can be more convenient to text by responding to a text at a later, more convenient time whereas a phone call often interrupts something.

Q2 - I am not much of a movie buff, but football and hockey would be AMAZING in 3D!!!

Q3 - See Q2.

Q4 - Machines Liven Lent, Invent Cinema Shell, Invent Mine Shellac and 58821 more.

Q1 - Texting: I know several people who aren't on a text plan, and so I do think it's a tad presumptuous. I went without a text plan until just last year, and wasn't very happy when I'd get a bunch of texts from people. As such, I try to make sure that anyone I text has a plan before doing so. However, if I don't know, I'll make the assumption that they are okay and if they yell at me later, then I'll know.

Q2 - 3-D: I think that's really cool! But cool factor aside, I'm not too sure it will be worth the cost for us normal folk until prices come down. I'd love to have a 3D TV. Best 3D show I ever saw (as far as quality) was the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas. Worst? A movie at the M&M store in Vegas.

Q3 - Fall Movies: I'm pretty excited for The Men Who Stare at Goats, Law Abiding Citizen, The Informant, The Fourth Kind, and Surrogates. A couple others I'm excited for (but not coming in the Fall) are Daybreakers and Avatar.

Q4 - Back Lime Olive: Obliterates Sun, A Sensible Trout, and -- here it comes -- LESBIAN STOUTER!

Hi Mikal, I know this is late but... I'll answer Q3 right now. NEW MOON! My neighbor and I rented a whole theater, in July (224 seater) so the gals from our neighborhood could all get together an watch it. We of course loved it and had a blast. Thanks for asking.
Q1. I always just text peeps anyways, hopefully I am not offending anyone when doing so.
Q2. Would be cool when the price is right.
Q4. Adnil has always been my favorite. No anagrams found from Fidjiti, LOL. But if spelled correctly then Edgy Fit.
BTW Meagen, I am sure you would have said New Moon had you read the movie list over one more time. You love Twilight!
Mikal, you're awesome! I just love reading the Qs even if I don't answer them. :)
