Four For Friday - Solved
Q1 - Solved: Looking back, if you could solve an unsolved caper, murder, theft, political leak, heist or practical joke, which one would you solve and why?
Q2 - Interviewed: If you were nearing the end of your life and were granted one opportunity to be interviewed on camera about anything -- your life, your views, your favorite moments, your regrets, all of the above, something else entirely -- who would you choose as your interviewer and why?
Q3 - Portrait: Set the scene... if you could be photographed anywhere in the world by a world-class photographer, where would you want to be shot and why?
Q4 - Ghosts: Halloween's just around the corner... do you believe in ghosts? (How about goblins, defined as small grotesque supernatural creatures that makes trouble for human beings?)

1. I would want to figure out if Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers successfully escaped from Alcatraz in 1962 or if they died in the attempt. I have always had a fascination with Alcatraz since I was a little rascal.
2. Mikal Belicove of course! I would want to get a good blog post out of it;)
3. Not necessarily a photographer, but I would want Bierstadt to paint one of his classic 15 foot canvases of me on top of a Colorado 14er with the dramatic scenery in the background.
4. Definitely believe in ghosts, but not goblins.
1. Whether Anastasia or Alexei survived the Ekaterinburg massacre.
2. Rachel Maddow
3. In my home or its surroundings. Second choice would be about 30 feet underwater during a dive.
4. Having lived in a haunted house I definitely believe in ghosts. Goblins? Not so much.
Q1: I'd like to know whether Colin Powell really believed what he was saying when he presented the case for invading Iraq to the U.N.
Q2: I was just interviewed for a television piece and found it very uncomfortable. As a result of my experience, I will try to be more forgiving of people who say stupid, meaningless things while standing in front of a camera.
Q3: I'd like to be photographed with my wife at Angel Falls.
Q4: Of course. Otherwise, why would people need to call Ghostbusters? But seriously, no, I don't believe in ghosts, goblins, or other fanciful creatures, although Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.
Q1 - I would like to for sure what took place in Roswell, New Mexico.
Q2 - I would have had Walter Cronkite interview me.
Q3 - I would have liked to be photographed in my Santa suit at some huge snow covered chalet.
Q4 - I absolutely believe in ghosts and goblins.
Q1 - Solved: I'd like to see and know what it was that Ezekiel actually saw as he reported in Ezekiel 10. Not really a murder, heist, or theft. Some might classify it as a joke though. But not I... I just think the description is so odd, I'd like to know what he was actually seeing.
Q2 - Interviewed: Hmm... I think about well-known anchors such as Tom Brokaw et al. But I think I'd prefer to be interviewed by a close friend.
Q3 - Portrait: Well, my first thought is "on the moon," but that's off world. Honestly, I haven't seen enough of the world to have a favorite place that I'd like to be photographed. But if you held a gun to my head, I might say something like the peak of Mt. Everest just because so few people have had their photograph taken there, or someplace that has personal significance to me, such as Herod's Temple (or at least, the area beneath the Dome of the Rock where it used to be).
Q4 - Ghosts: One of my favorite shows is Ghost Hunters. There are few things that make me laugh harder. I have family that own and operate the Strawberry Bay Marina out at Strawberry Reservoir. My mother, who has been working at the lodge out there for the last 12+ years swears to me that one of the rooms is haunted. Supposedly they have had several customers complain of two ghost children who live there. I have offered to stay in that room several times so I can disprove it. I have never seen nor heard nor felt anything that has caused me yet to believe in either ghosts or goblins.
Q1 - Solved:
The truth about the creation of this planet. Seriously the biggest unsolved practical joke of our existence. A universe is made and then tons of little evidences of what could have happened is provided and then theories are made and now everyone is punching each other in the face over something we don’t have anyway of solving right now. It would stop a crap load over lame bickering….Actually probably not people just have an inate ability to have pride about something I guess.
Q2 - Interviewed:
Opera, she has the most views, the reputation for sincerity and she would totally have a crush on me.
Q3 – Portrait
Naked posing like David in front of the David in Florence. Maybe have a Katana also.
Q4 – Ghosts
I believe in Spirits so I totally believe in ghosts, how we communicate and/or interact with them is a different debate but I believe they are real.
I think goblins can also be defined as politicians, which is almost the exact same description you gave, and they are so totally real, I saw one on TV once, freaked me out.

1) In 10th grade, someone stole my suction-cup Garfield off of my locker door. I wanna know who took it and NOW!
2) Maybe Conan O'Brian. That dude's charismatic enough to make anyone look good during an interview. His interviewees sorta bask in the reflected glow from his awesome personality. Yeah, I'll go with Conan.
3) Anywhere that makes me look skinnier. Is there such a place? Maybe above the Artic Circle in the winter. Cuz, you know, it'd be dark.
4) I believe in ghosts, definitely--but not in Hollywood's many scary, unhappy, tortured depictions of ghosts. I think departed spirits are happy, have a unique perspective on mortality, and are busy doing good things for us mortals--like guardian angels. Goblins 'n such...well, I would say no, I don't believe in 'em, but seriously, who keeps taking ONE SOCK out of the dryer and hiding somewhere else in the house??
Thanks for posting the cube decor picture, Mikal. Ahhh, the memories.
