If "loyalty" programs mean having a consumer card to obtain sale items at special prices, then yes, I am a proud member of Dillons, Shaws, and Stop & Shop. Very loyal, indeed! Does a Sam's Wholesale member card count? If so, then my whole company are members!!!

They have their benefits... But, I really hate hearing "Do you have a `Fresh Idea Card'" with a blind stare... even before my cart has even begun to be emptied. THEY are anxious to have you gone as well; hummm checking the next card holder out before "your" groceries are bagged.

In my opinion some of these stores need some "fresh ideas" while they are grabbing my bucks.
