I don't steal candy from my kids. I check it for safety reasons. If I happen to eat a few, it is my fee.

In my family we willingly gave candy to our parents because we had this strange notion of actually appreciating our parents taking the time to herd us around the neighborhood. We always gave our parents candy that we knew they liked--never any of that reject stuff like granola bars an licorice, and we learned how to share.
