Posted by Mikal at August 19, 2004 7:52 PMDoesn't Newsday (by extension Cablevision) "get it"? The world is shifting under their feet. The $4 million could of been spent on bloggers, reporters, photographers, video shooters, investigators and so much more to deliver better, more detailed stories. Hats off to the design firm that got the contract for the redesign; they are the only people who are going to make any money on this pay wall debacle.

John: The thing about the new website that gets me... it stinks: After spending all that money, the site is dark, boxy, uninspiring, and looks like a template more so than a custom-designed news site. What a waste of money.
